iLab Studio at WLA

About This Space

Located in Room 108 A, the editing station is available for both both amateur and experienced users, providing a high-performance computer, professional editing software, and ultra-high-definition monitors.

Equipment

The Editing Station includes the following equipment:

  • Precision 3660 Tower with 13th Generation Intel Core i9-13900K, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, and128GB RAM
  • Dual Dell UltraSharp 27 4K monitors
  • AKG Pro Audio K240 STUDIO headphones

Getting Started

To use the Editing Station, you must first log into the computer with your WaveNet credentials.

We recommend bringing along an external drive or USB to transfer your project to and from the computer. You may also consider file transfer with cloud options, like Google Drive.

Software

The Editing Station computer has access to all of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including the tools listed below. You must have an active WaveNet login to access the computer. If you do not already have a Creative Cloud account, you will need to create one. 

Please note that our library staff have limited experience with the following software, but we will do our best to assist you with your questions and connect you to resources that can be of assistance. 

Adobe Creative Cloud Premiere Pro Icon in navy blue Adobe Premiere Pro is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud, which is available to all students, faculty, and staff in the iLab Studio. This software is recommended for those who are interested in video creation and editing.
Adobe After Effects navy blue icon Adobe After Effects is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud, which is available to all students, faculty, and staff in the iLab Studio. This software is recommended for those who are interested in creating animations, motion graphics, or visual/special effects for video-based projects.
Adobe Audition Icon in navy blue Adobe Audition is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud, which is available to all students, faculty, and staff in the iLab Studio. This software is recommended for those who are working on audio experience, such as vocal/podcast-like editing.

Reserve a Space

Reservations are required. iLab Studio at WLA spaces are reservable by current Pepperdine faculty, staff, and students for a maximum of 3 hours per day during operating hours.

You can make a reservation by using the library room booking system. Please note that the One Button Studio and Editing Station are located in Room 108 A and the Podcasting Studio is located in Room 108 B. 

When you arrive for your reservation, staff at the circulation desk will let you into your reserved space.

If you would like to access the studio spaces outside of the normal operating hours, you can submit a reservation request.
