Hugh Evans, co founder:  the Global Poverty Project

In 2008, Evans along with his friend Simon Moss, now 29, launched The Global Poverty Project, which is committed to ending extreme poverty – defined as living on less than U.S. $1.25 a day – within 25 years. Evans throws big awareness campaigns like the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park at the end of September, where people had to take "actions" online –say tweeting about poverty or watching educational YouTube videos–to earn points that could be redeemed for tickets  (From Forbes: Social Entrepreneurs, 30 under 30)
