All Things Circ. – Payson Library

A collection of policies, procedures and general information for Payson Library's Circulation Department.

LibStaffer

Libstaffer is the library’s scheduling program used by Payson library. Before you can access your schedule you’ll need to set up a Libapps account. You will receive an email prompting you to set up a password.

You will then have access to the libapps home page. However, you will only have access to Libstaffer.

Libstaffer’s homepage will show your upcoming shifts and give you different options to find coverage.

Each shift also has 3 actions. Give up, swap, and split, which are explained on the next tab.

Give up sends an email to everyone on the schedule and lets anyone pick it up. However, if no one picks it up, you will still be responsible for the shift or you will have to talk to your supervisor.

Swap lets you ask to swap specific shifts with another worker. They can either accept or deny your request.

Finally, Split lets you take your shift and divide it into separate blocks. This is useful if you can make part of a shift but not a whole shift.

Those are the main things you can do on the homepage. If you are interested in seeing when everyone works you can look at the schedule page by clicking the “Schedules” button.

Next I will show you how to customize your account more. To get to your profile simply click your email at the top right.

It will open the on the Manage Account tab. Here you can go to your other account page and change your default schedule.

The next tab you can use to set time availability, but we will be using something else to set time preferences.

The next tab will talk about notifications

The last important tab is Email & SMS Alerts. Here you can set what alerts you would like you to get.

If you add your cell phone number you can receive text notifications in addition, or instead of email.

Finally, you will receive your schedule Bi-weekly following the pay period. The email will look like the following:
