Locating other dissertations and theses can be a great way of not only finding out what other scholars have done for research in the area you are considering but also examining the sources that they have cited in their literature reviews on that topic. This page focuses mainly on using ProQuest Dissertations and Theses.

Example: I need dissertations on the topic of the influence of emotional intelligence on leadership effectiveness.

• Click Advanced Search
• Type leadership into the first box and change the pull-down menu from Anywhere to Anywhere except full-text-ALL
• Type effectiveness or performance into the next line
• Click +Add a row
• Type emotional intelligence into the third box
• Click Search
