Alumni Access to Library

Alumni Use of Pepperdine Libraries

In-Person: Pepperdine alumni are welcome to visit the Pepperdine University Libraries and may register for borrowing privileges at any of the University Library circulation desks by presenting an alumni ID card.

Pepperdine alumni may search most library databases when they visit any of the Pepperdine Libraries after presenting a valid alumni ID card and a picture ID.

Online: Alumni may access select research guides, search the online library catalog, and utilize our Alumni Ask a Librarian service  through the Pepperdine University Libraries website.  

Please note online database access for alumni is limited.  Please see the webpage on alumni accessible databases for more information.

At this time, group study rooms are not available to alumni.


Please note: Mintel, Refinitiv, Passport (formerly Global Market Information Database), Bloomberg Terminals, SciFinder, NexisUni and ProQuest E-Books are unavailable for in-person or online alumni use.


How To Get an Alumni ID

Please apply for your alumni ID card in one of three ways:

  1. visit the Office of Alumni Affairs on the 3rd Floor of  Thornton Administrative Center (TAC),

  2. call their offices at 310-506-6190,

  3. go to the Alumni Affairs website.

Please make sure to contact the Alumni office before your first visit to the library if you do not have an alumni ID card. No separate library card is issued.  Alumni members must agree to comply with all library regulations.

Alumni Library Borrowing Privileges

Pepperdine alumni may borrow up to five books at any one time for a two-week period. Books are renewable for an additional two weeks. Interlibrary loan privileges are not available to alumni.
