IBIS World is a database where you can search for U.S or Global industry reports. Below you will see instructions on how to access the database and also some examples.
Market and industry research reports with key statistics, industry conditions, market share, industry performance, market drivers, key success factors, and revenue forecasts for each US industry. This database is only available to current Pepperdine students, faculty, and staff.
When you first log into the IBIS World database use the search bar to search for an industry to pull an industry analysis.
Use the left filtration methods to filter the search results based on region and content type.
Looking after every search result entry will tell you what region or content type the report falls under.
Use the navigation menu on the left to navigate through the report.
Use the "Search Within This Report" search bar to find key terms within the report and have them highlighted.
The "Industry at a Glance" section will contain the SWOT analysis for the industry.
The report can be downloaded by clicking on the arrow at the top right
The "Key Statistics" tab will display important global industry data.
