Guide to Using Permanent Links

This guide will help show the location of permalinks through multiple library resources

Instructions

Example: You want to add link in Courses to the full-text of Virginia Boyum's dissertation entitled, "A Model of Servant Leadership in Higher Education."

  1. Go to http://library.pepperdine.edu
  2. Click on Databases and E-Journals
  3. Use the "By Subject" categories to filter the databases based on your preferred category.
  4. For this example, I am going to search for Dissertations and Thesis and click on the corresponding link.
  5. When prompted enter your Wavenet Credentials.
  6. On the Dissertations & Theses home page,

    1. In the first search bar type in "A model of Servant Leadership in Higher Education." Leave the default search field blank.
    2. In the second search bar type in "Boyum, Virgina." Leave the default search field blank. 
    3. Select the record of the article searched for.
  7. On the right-hand side look for the "All Options" link.
  8. Copy the permalink and paste it onto your document.
