This episode of "From Curiosity to Clarity," features an interview with Dr. Maria Brahme, a Librarian Emerita, and faculty member at Pepperdine University for over 30 years. She discusses the evolution of library support for researchers, from the early days of physical resources and CD-ROM databases to the current digital landscape of online databases, virtual assistance, and Zoom interactions. Dr. Brahme also touches on the challenges and benefits of early virtual assistance technologies and how the COVID-19 pandemic further accelerated the adoption of online modalities, leading to more personalized (and sometimes therapeutic) interactions with students.
