Fairy Tale Castle

Course Description

Many of us grown up hearing fairy tales like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Jack and the Beanstalk. This course will study the origins of various fairy tales and examine different lenses through which to view them. In addition, the course will examine how scholars like J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis view fairy tales as a medium that points toward Christianity. Ultimately, this class will examine the relationship between messages in many beloved fairy tales and messages in the Gospel story.
