This is a quick mindmap of what my research process might look like if I were doing this research paper -- it is certainly not the only way to go about things, but I hope it helps!

Remember that research is almost always an iterative, rather than linear process.  What you learn as you research should (and inevitably will) feed back in to earlier portions of your research.
