Alumni Services: Using Pepperdine Libraries

Using Pepperdine Libraries

Alumni Use of Pepperdine Libraries

Pepperdine alumni are welcome to visit the Pepperdine University Libraries and may register for borrowing privileges at University Libraries circulation desks by presenting an alumni ID card. Alumni may access select resource guides from home, search the online library catalog, and utilize our new Alumni Ask an Expert service in the library or at home through the Pepperdine University Libraries website.  Pepperdine alumni may search most library databases when they visit any of the Pepperdine Libraries after presenting a valid alumni ID card and a picture ID. Exceptions include Mintel, Refinitiv, Passport (formerly Global Market Information Database), Bloomberg Terminals and SciFinder. Unfortunately, at this time, group study rooms are not available to alumni.

Library Borrowing Privileges for Alumni

Pepperdine alumni may borrow up to five books at any one time for a two-week period. Books are renewable for an additional two weeks. For full information about obtaining a library card and library borrowing policies, click here. Interlibrary loan privileges are not available to alumni.

The InfoGuides gather lists of resources (limited to library use only as well as websites with links) on a wide range of topics.

The Government Information Center provides links to a number of government websites that provide various types of data ranging from government reports to statistics in different formats.

Alumni Authors

The University Libraries actively purchases books authored by alumni. All interested alumni authors who want the Libraries to purchase a copy of their book are encouraged to contact Jeremy Whitt, Head of Collection Development and Assessment.
