ENG 436 Native American Literature (Topics in Multicultural American Literature): Home

Course Description

This course will explore Native American history and culture, the oral tradition, and the work of contemporary Native American writers such as N. Scott Momaday, James Welch, Louise Erdrich, and Sherman Alexie.  These readings will expose you to new perspectives on language, deepen your understanding of Native American history/culture/literature, and enhance your ability to engage in focused literary and rhetorical analysis.
