The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), is the current standard used by federal agencies to classify businesses and collect data related to the U.S business economy. This system is also applicable in Canada and Mexico.
NAICS replaced the previous system known as the Standard Industrial Classification system (SIC) as of 1997.
The NAICS Association website outlines all the current NAICS codes, to visit the page please click here
IBIS World also has a list of NAICS codes and reports listed under their "industries" tab.
If you are interested in learning more about NAICS, I encourage you to read Jennifer Boettcher's (Georgetown University) article.
