Example: I need articles about the Mohawk group written between 1700 and 1800.

  • Click the link for Advanced Search
  • Type Mohawk into the first box
  • Type Indians into the second box
  • Click search
  • Click Enter Date Range on the left-hand side and set the range from 1700 and 1800

Example: I'm looking for articles about Native American boarding schools written between 1880 and 1930.

  • Click the link for Advanced Search
  • Type Indians into the first box
  • Type "boarding schools" into the second box and click search
  • Go to Publication Date on the left-hand and set the range from 1880-1920

Example: I need primary source magazine articles about schools for Native Americans written between 1890 and 1920

  • Type Indians of North America into the first box
  • Type schools or education into the second box
  • Click search
  • Set the Publication date between 1890 and 1920
