Tips for Searching Lexis Nexis
To use Lexis Nexis to search for your donors, try the following tips.
For news, follow these steps:
Click on “Search by Content Type” and then “All News.” This searches more resources than the default search.
Click “Advanced Options” and select newspapers, magazines, and wire services. The default search is for newspapers only.
Enter the name of your donor into the search box. If it’s a common name, you might have to add the name of their company or other relevant information. You can also add “Pepperdine” after their name to get results directly related to Pepperdine.
For biographical profiles, follow these steps:
Click on “Search by Content Type” and then “Biographical Information.”
Click “Advanced Options” and select biographical reference, political profiles, and Marquis Who’s Who Biographies.
