Requesting ILL Items

How long will it take to receive books and articles?

Please allow sufficient time for processing of requests.

  • Books and articles from libraries worldwide: allow 5-21 days minimum

How do I request a book or article?

Go the library home page and search the library catalog to request books or articles.

There are 2 video tutorials on how to request items in the library catalog.

When completing request forms please provide full bibliographic citation information, including journal title, sub-title, volume number, date and pages needed.  Please provide ISBN or ISSN if available.

How many items can I request?

Please prioritize requests to 10 items per week.

How will I know my ILL item has arrived?

You will receive an email notifying you that your book or article has arrived. For articles you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access your article which is posted to your ILLiad Interlibrary Loan account.  Books will be held for pickup at the Circulation Desk.

How long can I keep the item?
Articles are yours to keep.

Loan periods for books are determined by the lender.

  • ILL: 3 weeks, or longer, at lender's discretion.

Books must be returned on or before the due date indicated.

*Please do not remove any ILL stickers or book straps on the item.

How Can I Track My Request?

You can track your ILL request online by going to your ILL account.
