Associations and Societies

Electrochemical Society (ECS)
An international nonprofit, educational organization concerned with electrochemical and solid state science and technology.

Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)
An independent, nonprofit center for public interest energy and environmental research. A search engine provides fast, accurate results on global energy topics. The full text of EPRI Journal is available free online.

Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA)
A partnership of electronic and high-tech associations and companies whose mission is promoting the market development and competitiveness of the U.S. high-tech industry through domestic and international policy efforts.

IEEE Standards Association
The leading developer of global industry standards in a broad-range of industries. You can Search the IEEE Standards Catalog; order standards in hard copy; view or download IEEE Standards Status Report; subscribe to IEEE Standards On-Line.

Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF)
A large open international community of network designers, operators, vendors, and researchers concerned with the evolution of Internet architecture and the smooth operation of the Internet.

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE)
The world's leading professional association for the advancement of technology. Covers member services, including career training and job opportunities; technical societies; IEEE journals, bibliographies and other publications; student and local activities.

Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
Formed in 2006 by the coming together of the IEE and IIE. Over 4000 scientific and technical journals and some 2200 conference proceedings, as well as books, reports and dissertations are scanned each year by Inspec staff for relevant articles to abstract and index for inclusion in the Inspec Database.
